Renowned filmmaker in the Marathi film industry, Nagraj Manjule, has directed several critically acclaimed and popular films. His most notable works like ‘Fandry’ and ‘Sairat’ won several awards and received widespread acclaim for their portrayal of social issues. In the past, Manjule has also collaborated with actor Akash Thosar in ‘Sairat’ and ‘Fandry’, and their partnership has been highly appreciated by audiences and critics alike. Akash’s portrayal of Parshya in ‘Sairat’ earned him widespread recognition and established him as a talented actor in the Marathi film industry.

The duo has once again joined hands for an interesting release titled ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ and the announcement regarding the same was made recently. Below are the details:

Ghar Banduk Biryani: OTT Release Details

Zee Studios and Nagraj Popatrao Manjule are all set to bring the upcoming Indian Marathi-language film ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ to theatres on April 7, 2023. Directed by Hemant Jangal Awtade, the movie is his debut directorial venture. Post its theatrical run. The film will also be available on Zee5; however, the official announcement of the digital release is yet to be made.

Ghar Banduk Biryani: Cast and Crew

The film is produced by Nagraj Manjule and Bhushan Manjule and boasts a stellar cast comprising Akash Thosar, Sayli Patil, Nagraj Manjule, Sayaji Shinde, and Tanaji Gulgunde in pivotal roles. The cinematography of the film is helmed by Vikram Amladi, while Kutub Inamdar has edited it. The music for ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ is composed by A.V. Prafullachandra.

Written by Nagraj Manjule and Hemant Awtade, ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ is not just limited to Marathi-speaking audiences, but will also be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages, thus catering to a wider audience.

Ghar Banduk Biryani: Trailer and Premise

The trailer of the film was released recently with a message, which translated, read, “Zee Studios and Nagraj Manjule bring an innovative and innovative cinema ‘Ghar, Bandook Aur Biryani’; That too in these four languages Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu. We are going to present the first glimpse of this cinema!

As per reports, the premise of the film revolves around “a family living in a small village in Maharashtra. The movie explores the themes of family values, love, and relationships, while also touching upon social issues prevalent in rural areas.” It is being said that the film would follow a young boy’s journey of becoming a chef and the challenges he faces because of a local politician. “The film promises have a strong emphasis on family values showcasing the importance of following one’s dreams despite obstacles,” buzz states.

Ghar Banduk Biryani: Pre-release Buzz

The first teaser of ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ was uploaded on YouTube on October 15, 2021, by Aatpat Production, which was followed by a second teaser uploaded in Hindi by Zee Studios and Aatpat Production on October 25, 2022. The teasers have already created a buzz among the audience, piquing their curiosity and anticipation for the film’s release.
