Mid-range Gionee F5 with 4000mAh Battery & 4GB RAM Launched

Gionee has launched a new mid-range smartphone dubbed Gionee F5. The company’s latest smartphone has made its way to its home country China, retailing for 1799 Yuan (approximately Rs 17,615). It comes in Rose Gold and Gold colour options. The smartphone as a metal unibody design with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner. It measures 150 mm in height, 74.5 mm in width and 7.7mm in thickness and weighs 162 grams.

The Gionee F5 has 1280 x 720 pixels spread across a 5.3-inch touchscreen display, which results in the pixel density of 277 pixels per inch (PPI). The screen is further boasts of 2.5D curved panel layered on top. The phone is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core chip clocked at 1.5GHz. It then also offers 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM for storing apps, games, files and more. However, the storage, if found insufficient, can further be expanded up to 128GB.

As far as camera offerings are concerned, the Gionee F5 carries a 13MP primary rear snapper alongside LED flash. The front has an 8MP secondary camera to woo selfie lovers. Some of the camera modes and features include panorama, HDR, slow motion, business card scanning and more. The Dual SIM Gionee F5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow software out-of-the-box and packs in a 4000mAh battery. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

We don’t know yet when the Gionee F5 will arrive in India. Meanwhile, Gionee India recently launched the Gionee A57 in India. The company is also expected to launch the entry-level Gionee P8W soon.
