Gionee F8 Neo entry-level smartphone launched in India at Rs 5,499

Gionee returned to the smartphone market in India in August this year after a long hiatus. The Chinese brand had launched the entry-level Gionee Max smartphone in the country at an affordable price tag. Now Gionee has launched another entry-level phone in its F-series called the Gionee F8 Neo.

The Gionee F8 Neo comes with entry-level specifications and is aimed at first-time smartphone users. Let’s take a look at what the device offers out of the box.

The Gionee F8 Neo is a budget smartphone

The Gionee F8 Neo features a 5.45-inch LCD display with thick bezels on the top and bottom. The back panel sports a rectangular camera module housing a single 8MP sensor and an LED flash. The device offers a 5MP front-facing camera with support for face unlock. It comes with camera features like slow-mo, panorama, night mode, timelapse, burst mode and more. 

The Gionee F8 Neo is powered by an unspecified octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The smartphone offers 32GB onboard storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The Gionee F8 Neo is backed by a 3,000mAh battery unit with support for standard 10W charging. 

In a press statement, Gionee said that ‘The company is also committed to locally manufacture all its products in the country. In the smartphone category, Gionee intends to provide an unadulterated UI and UX to the consumers.’

Gionee F8 Neo price in India

The Gionee F8 Neo is being offered in Blue, Black and Red colour options. It is priced at Rs 5,499 during the ongoing festive season and will be available across 1.5 to 2 lakh offline stores in the country via the brand’s partnership with Udaan.
