Gionee M12 Pro with Helio P60 and 4,000mAh battery launched: price, specifications

Last month, Gionee launched the Gionee Max and Gionee M30 smartphones in India and China respectively. Now the brand has announced a new device in its home market. The latest offering is dubbed as the Gionee M12 Pro.

The Gionee M12 Pro packs mid-range specifications at an affordable price tag. The smartphone sports triple-rear cameras and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Let’s find out what the device offers out of the box. 

Gionee M12 Pro specifications and features

The Gionee M12 Pro features an in-display fingerprint scanner at an affordable price tag.

The Gionee M12 Pro features a 6.2-inch HD+ display with thin bezels and a waterdrop notch on the top. The device features a glossy back panel and is offered in White and Blue gradient colour options. The smartphone is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The back panel houses a square-shaped camera module. The setup consists of a 16MP primary sensor, wide-angle lens and a macro unit. There is also a fourth sensor but it is actually a decorative camera. Up front, the device features a 13MP snapper for selfies and video calling. 

Internally, the Gionee M12 Pro is powered by an Helio P60 octa-core processor. The chipset is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device features a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion. The Gionee M12 Pro is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit and runs Android 10. The smartphone comes with dual stereo speakers and connectivity options on the device include 3.5mm jack, 4G LTE, dual SIM, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. 

Gionee M12 Pro pricing and availability

The Gionee M12 Pro is priced at RMB 700 (~Rs 7,500). It is the cheapest smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The brand hasn’t announced the M12 Pro’s availability in other markets including India.
