Yesterday, Gionee unveiled the Gionee Max smartphone in India at a budget-friendly price tag of Rs 5,999. The company also launched a new phone called the Gionee M30 in China yesterday. The major highlight of the smartphone is that it has a humungous 10,000mAh battery.
The Gionee M30 is an mid-range phone that comes with support for fast charging for its huge battery. The other noticeable features of the phone include its unique design, large-sized display, and ample RAM and internal storage.
Gionee M30 specifications and features
The Gionee M30 features a leather finish on its back and aluminum alloy body with a metallic frame. The handset features a 6-inch IPS LCD panel that produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels.
The MediaTek Helio P60 chipset along with 8GB of RAM powers the Gionee M30. The phone offers an internal storage of 128GB. For expanding the storage, users can make use of its microSD card slot. The gigantic 10,000mAh battery of the Gionee M30 supports 25W fast charging.
The top bezel of the phone is home to its 8-megapixel selfie camera. It has a single 16-megapixel camera on its rear shell. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear panel of the phone. The handset also supports face unlock. For added security, the phone ships with a dedicated encryption chip.
The specifications of the Gionee M30 are taken from JD.com, an online retail store in China. The listing has no information on the version of the Android OS that comes loaded on the phone. Before launch, the handset was seen at the database of China’s TENAA telecom authority with the obsolete Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone comes with other features such as stereo speakers, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Gionee M30 pricing and availability
The Gionee M30 comes in a single Black colour and it is priced at RMB 1,399 (~Rs 15,000). It is unclear whether the phone will be launched outside of China.
