How to find UPI ID in Google Pay?

If you are struggling to find your Google Pay UPI ID, then follow the steps mentioned below

  1. Open the Google Pay app on your Android or iOS device
  2. Tap on your profile photo in the upper right corner of the app
  3. Tap the bank account for which you wish to view the UPI ID
  4. The associated UPI ID can be found under “Manage UPI IDs”

How to Change UPI ID in Google Pay?

It is possible to change your UPI ID extensions and choose from @okaxis, @oksbi, @okhdfcbak, and @okicici. Although you can only choose from the preset UPI IDs that are available for your account.

  1. Open Google Pay on your Android or iOS device
  2. Tap on your profile photo in the app’s upper right corner
  3. Select payment methods
  4. Tap the bank account for which you wish to view the UPI ID
  5. Tap the UPI ID linked to the bank account you’ll be using
  6. Tap the ‘+’ sign next to the UPI ID you want to use

Note: When you make a payment, you’ll see your UPI ID before clicking the ‘continue to pay’ button.

How to create additional Google Pay UPI ID?

With Google Pay, users can create more than one UPI ID for their bank account. The process is simple and similar to changing the UPI ID. Follow the steps below to create an additional UPI ID in Google pay.

  1. First, open the Google Pay app on your Android or iOS device
  2. After that, Tap on your profile picture at the top right corner
  3. Select Payment methods from the next screen
  4. Now tap on the Account for which you want to create a UPI ID
  5. Select Manage UPI IDs
  6. Now tap on the plus icon to create an additional Google Pay UPI ID

Note:  In Google Pay, you can create up to 4 UPI IDs for a bank account. Google has also stated that having more than one UPI ID increases your payment success rate.

1. How to delete Google Pay UPI ID? 

Just follow the step-by-step guide mentioned below to delete your Google Pay account permanently. 

  1. Open the Google Pay app on your smartphone
  2. Tap on the profile photo, situated at the top right corner 
  3. Now select the Bank account option and select your bank account 
  4. Tap on the three-dot icon situated at the top right corner and select the ‘Remove Account’ option
  5. Now follow the same process to remove other bank accounts 
  6. After that, go to settings and select the ‘Sign out’ option 

2. What is the format of UPI ID? 

The generic format of a UPI ID generated by a UPI-enabled bank app is name@BankName or mobile@BankName.

3. Is the UPI ID the same for Google Pay and PhnoePe? 

No, the UPI ID will be different for both apps. Because in India, each UPI app has a partnership with different banks. For example, Google Pay has a partnership with ICICI bank, so UPI ID provided by Google will have xxxx@okicici. Similarly, UPI ID provided by PhonePe will be xxxx@axl.
