The Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL have been subject to several leaks over the last few months. Now e-commerce portal Flipkart has teased the launch of the devices on May 8th in India. The teaser on the homepage says ‘Lose sight after twilight?’ which suggest that it might be referring to the low-light capabilities of the upcoming smartphones. The company has also set up a landing page that reveals thick bezels at the top and bottom parts of the screen.
Earlier reports had pointed out that Google is preparing to launch two mid-range Pixel devices at its annual I/O developer conference. The upcoming Pixel 3a and 3a XL are rumored to feature 5.6-inch and 6-inch FHD+ displays respectively, with OLED panels and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The former is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 670 chipset while the latter may be equipped with a Snapdragon 710 SoC. Both the smartphones are expected to come with 4GB RAM with two storage options of 32GB and 64GB. On the optics front, the Pixel 3a and 3a XL will feature the same camera capabilities present on the Pixel 3. They will have a 12.2MP rear camera and 8MP front snapper.
Since the current Pixel 3 phones are already available on Flipkart, the upcoming devices may also be available on the platform. The Pixel 3a and 3a XL will be unveiled during Google’s keynote at I/O 2019 which starts at 10 am PDT, May 8 (10:30 pm IST). We will keep you updated when the devices are launched, so stay tuned to our Blog, Facebook page and Twitter handle.
