Google Pixel 4 Renders Reveal Thick Top Bezel, Dual Front Cameras

We are still a few months away from Google’s flagship Pixel 4 launch. However, rumors and leaks have become a daily affair giving us a new look at the upcoming smartphone. We had shared exclusive prototype renders of the Pixel 4 last month, alongside high-quality 5K renders of the Pixel 4 XLNow notable tipster OnLeaks has shared new 5K renders of smaller Pixel 4, which reveal it’s nearly identical to its bigger sibling.

The new renders reveal large bezels on the top of the display. There is no notch or display cutout for the front-facing camera. Along with renders, Ice Universe also shared two photos of the screen protectors. It shows three camera cutouts on the left, an earpiece in the middle, and a mysterious big hole in the upper right corner. The camera setup on includes dual-lenses to capture selfies, and one to possibly use for advanced iPhone-like facial recognition. The Google Pixel 4 is rumored to come with ‘Project Soli’ which was shown back in 2015. It uses radar tech for gesture-based controls. However, there is still no confirmation regarding this. The leak also suggests that Google is planning to introduce a noise-canceling speaker in absence of the front-firing dual speakers. There is a USB Type-C port located at the bottom, and the headphone jack is missing too. The back panel features triple rear cameras in a square shaped module, just like the Pixel 4 XL.

As far as leaks and rumors go, Google has already released the pictures of the back panel of the Pixel 4. It confirms the square shaped camera bump with triple cameras, as well as the lack of a fingerprint sensor. The Pixel 4 is expected to feature a smaller 5.6-inch display. Under the hood, the Pixel 4 is expected to be powered by flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM. Out of the box, the smartphone will ship with Android Q.

We expect more leaks to surface online leading up to Google’s October event where it will unveil the Pixel 4 series.
