Google is all set to introduce the next-gen Pixel flagships dubbed the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL at an event in October. Ahead of the launch, Google had already teased the design of the upcoming phones. We had also exclusively leaked the renders of the upcoming Pixel 4 duo. Now, a few weeks ahead of the unveiling, a handful of live images of the Pixel 4 XL have been leaked on the interwebs, which reveal everything regarding the design of the handset. In addition, the core specifications of the smartphone have also surfaced in the latest leak.
Google Pixel 4 XL specifications and features
As you can see in these images, the Google Pixel 4 XL will have a slim bezel at the bottom and a large one on the top. The phone’s top bezel will house various sensors for the face unlock functionality. This will be Google’s answer to Apple’s Face ID system. At the rear, the smartphone will have a square camera module which will have two lenses, a dual-LED flash unit, and an additional sensor. At the bottom edge, you will find a USB Type-C port in the middle with two speaker grills. The phone will not feature a 3.5mm headphone socket.
Talking about the specs, the source suggests that the Google Pixel 4 XL will sport a 6.23-inch display bearing a resolution of 3,040 x 1,440 pixels. The handset’s screen will offer two levels of refresh rates – 60Hz and 90Hz. Powering the phone will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor, claims the source. Under the hood, there will be 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There could also be additional RAM and storage variants. At the rear, you will have a 12.2MP primary camera, and on the front, you will find an 8.1MP shooter. The other information revealed by the leak is a 3,700mAh battery.
Google Pixel 4 XL price and availability
Google now has only the pricing and availability of the new Pixels left to reveal at the launch event on October 15th. If the reports are to be believed, the new Pixel lineup could be priced at around Rs 70,000 for the base variant.
