Google debuted its mid-range Pixel 4a smartphone in August this year. It arrived in India last month. The device was launched in Just Black colour with an accentuated Mint Green button. The search engine giant has now announced a new colour variant of the Pixel 4a.
The Pixel 4a now comes in a limited edition ‘Barely Blue’ colour option. It has an orange coloured power button. Google says that the latest offering won’t be available again once the stocks run out. The Pixel 4a Barely Blue variant retains the same specifications as the Just Black colour model.

The Pixel 4a is the successor to last year’s Pixel 3a. It offers a 5.8-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution. The smartphone has a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner that houses an 8MP selfie sensor. On the back, the device sports a single 12MP camera inside a square module along with LED flash. The Pixel 4a comes with HDR+, dual exposure mode, astrophotography, portrait mode etc.
On the hardware front, the Pixel 4a is equipped with a Snapdragon 730G chipset. It is coupled with 6GB RAM and the device offers 128GB onboard storage. The smartphone Android 10 OS out of the box and is backed by a 3,140mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
Connectivity-wise, the Pixel 4a comes with 4G VoLTE, USB-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm jack and a fingerprint scanner.
Google Pixel 4a pricing and availability
The Google Pixel 4a Barely Blue colour is currently up for sale in the US while supplies last. It carries the same price tag as the Just Black colour variant i.e. $349 (~Rs 26,200). In India, the smartphone retails at Rs 31,999. Google hasn’t announced if the new colour option will be available in other regions including India.
