Google Pixel 4a hands-on review video surfaces, revealing complete specifications

Leaks are actively spilling information on the upcoming Google Pixel 4a smartphone. Recently, the handset was spotted in multiple live shots through which it was confirmed that it will be arriving as the first Pixel series phone with a punch-hole display. A Cuban technology YouTuber, TechnoLike Plus, has shared a hands-on review of the unannounced Pixel 4a handset. The video also reveals the entire specifications of the smartphone. The launch date of the smartphone is yet to be confirmed. With the rumour mill leaking almost everything about the handset, it appears that its unveiling may not be too far away.

The YouTuber claimed that he found the Pixel 4a on sale at a local phone shop. When he contacted the shop, he was provided some videos and full information on its specs. The smartphone shown in the hands-on appears to be a prototype unit since it has a fake logo on its rear and a code number. The design of the phone matches with the CAD renders that were released by reputed tipster OnLeaks a few months ago.

Google Pixel 4a design

The rear appearance of the Pixel 4a is similar to the Google Pixel 4 from last year. The Pixel 4a has a square-shaped camera module that houses a single camera and an LED flash. A fingerprint sensor is also available on the back. The body of the device appears to be made out of polycarbonate but has a metallic finish. The front design of the phone is different from Pixel 4 as the upcoming handset seemingly offers a punch-hole display.

Google Pixel 4a specifications (rumoured)

The Google Pixel 4a will come with a 5.81-inch display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels (full HD+) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 443 ppi pixel density and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The Snapdragon 730 mobile platform powers the Pixel 4a, along with 6GB of RAM. The phone offers a native storage of 64GB. Android 10 OS in its purest form will come preloaded on the device.

The Pixel 4a has a 12-megapixel camera on its rear. The LED flash assisted lens is capable of capturing 4K videos with EIS. The front-facing 8-megapixel camera is equipped with video stabilisation feature.

The Pixel 4a is backed by a 3,080mAh battery. It comes with some other features like dual SIM support, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.

Google Pixel 4a launch date

In the hands-on video, the phone can be seen running the AIDA64 benchmarking app. It shows that the phone is loaded with April security patch. This could be hint that the phone may launch or release in the market in April. Google is yet to confirm the existence of the Pixel 4a. There are contradictory reports on the existence of the Pixel 4a XL. There is speculation that there could be 5G versions of Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a XL. It is advisable to wait for further information to know whether Google will launch other 4a series phones apart from the Pixel 4a.
