Google recently launched the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G as its first 5G smartphones. The brand has already confirmed that these two smartphones will not be arriving in India. Instead, Google has launched the standard Pixel 4a in the country today. The smartphone will be available for purchase on the shopping portal Flipkart.
The Pixel 4A comes as the toned-done variant of the Pixel 4A 5G and is the successor to last year’s Pixel 3a. The new smartphone boasts a 5.8-inch punch-hole OLED display, Snapdragon 730G SoC, stock Android 11 and three years of software updates as its headlining features.
Google Pixel 4A specifications and features
The Google Pixel 4A is equipped with a 5.8-inch punch-hole OLED display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. The smartphone has the Snapdragon 730G processor at its core. The chipset is backed by 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. There’s no scope for storage expansion. The Pixel 4A features a polycarbonate back and has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
In the imaging department, the Google Pixel 4A sports a single 12.2-megapixel f/1.7 primary camera on the back with OIS and EIS support. The punch-hole cutout on the front accommodates an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone borrows camera-related features from Pixel 4 and is capable of Astrophotography as well.
The Google Pixel 4A boots stock Android 10 out of the box, but Android 11 is already available for it. Google assures three years of OS and security updates for the phone. Powering the handset is a 3,140mAh battery with support for 18W charging. Connectivity-wise, the Pixel 4A offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Google Pixel 4A price in India
Google is offering the Pixel 4A in a single configuration and single black colour at an introductory price of Rs 29,999. The actual price of the smartphone is set at Rs 31,999. The device will go on sale starting October 16th on Flipkart as part of the Big Billion Day Specials.
