Google had unveiled the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL smartphones in May. Unlike the Snapdragon 845-powered Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the Pixel 3a duo were mid-rangers fueled by the Snapdragon 670 mobile platform. Now, it looks like Google is all set to launch the Pixel 4a series in mid-2020. Popular tipster @OnLeaks has collaborated with 91mobiles to showcase the design of the upcoming Pixel 4a through CAD renders and a 360-degree video.
Google Pixel 4a renders
The Google Pixel 3a featured an 18.5:9 display measuring 5.6-inches, with thick bezels above and below the screen. The CAD renders of the Google Pixel 4a reveal that it will be the first Pixel phone to flaunt a punch-hole display. The screen is surrounded by slim bezels and a thicker chin. The Pixel 4 series of flagship phones are equipped with Project Soli Motion Sense components housed inside the thick top bezel. With the Pixel 4a’s thinner bezels, it is unclear whether the Pixel 4a will arrive with gesture control technology.
While the left side of the Pixel 4a is bare, its right edge has a red-coloured power button followed by a volume rocker. The top edge of the device features a 3.5mm audio jack. A USB-C port flanked by two speaker grilles can be seen on the bottom side of the device.
The rear shell of the Pixel 4a has a matte finish. The protruding square-shaped camera system of the smartphone has a single camera and an LED flash. The tipster has claimed that the camera module of the Pixel 4a will be housing additional sensors. A fingerprint scanner is seen on the rear of the device and the ‘G’ logo of the company can be seen towards the bottom.
OnLeaks has revealed that Google Pixel 4a could be measuring around 144.2 x 69.5 x 8.2mm. The thickness of the device may extend to 9mm around the camera bump. The phone could be equipped with a 5.7-inch or 5.8-inch display.
