Google launched its mid-range Pixel 4a in August, with the phone scheduled to arrive in India next month. At the time of launch, the search engine giant had announced that the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 will debut this fall.
Now Google has confirmed that it is conducting a ‘Launch Night In’ event on September 30th at 11am PT (11.30pm IST). The event will be live streamed and going by the launch invite, the company will unveil Pixel phones along with a new Chromecast and a smart speaker.

The Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 with 5G connectivity were already confirmed by Google. The former is expected to retain the same specifications as the Pixel 4a, with the addition of a 5G-compatible Snapdragon 765G processor and dual-rear cameras.
As for the Pixel 5, Pricebaba had shared exclusive renders of the upcoming phone last month. It looks similar to the Pixel 4a. The smartphone is rumoured to ditch the flagship Snapdragon 865 processor in favour of the Snapdgraon 765G. It is expected to offer a 90Hz display and feature dual cameras with a wide-angle and primary lens.Google has already confirmed that the upcoming 5G Pixel smartphones won’t be launched in India.
Apart from the Pixel smartphones, Google will also announce a new Chromecast codenamed as ‘Sabrina’. It is expected to be Android TV-powered dongle that will come with a bundled remote control. There’s not much known about the device. The launch invite also hints at a new smart speaker which could be a Nest smart speaker. Google had confirmed the device in July after its image leaked online. The upcoming Nest smart speaker will feature a cylindrical design. It will be positioned between the Nest Mini and Google Home Max.
