The Google Pixel 5a 5G has launched after several months of leaks. It has arrived as the successor to the Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G that debuted last year in different markets. The Pixel 5a 5G is a mid-range phone that offers a clean Android interface and advanced cameras.

In terms of design and specs, the Pixel 5a 5G appears not too different from the Pixel 4a 5G. Some of its key features include an OLED screen with a punch-hole design, Snapdragon 7-series chip, a 12-megapixel dual-camera setup, and a big battery with fast charging support.

The Google Pixel 5a 5G has a 6.34-inch OLED panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, up to 700 nits brightness, and HDR support. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The squarish camera island available on the rear panel of the Pixel 5a 5G features a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 main camera with Dual Pixel AF, a 16-megapixel Sony IMX481 ultra-wide camera, and an LED flash. A physical fingerprint scanner is also placed on the rear shell of the device.
The Snapdragon 765G SoC, which fueled the Pixel 4a 5G is present under the hood of the Pixel 5a 5G. It is assisted by 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is backed by a 4,680mAh battery, which is the largest battery seen on a Pixel phone. The handset supports 18W fast charging.
The Pixel 5a 5G runs a stock version of Android 11. The search engine giant will be offering 3 years of Android OS upgrades and 3 years of monthly Android security patches. Other features that are available on the device include dual-SIM support, 5G/4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, Titan M security module, stereo speakers, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP67 rated dust and water-resistant metal unibody.
Google Pixel 5a 5G pricing and availability
The Pixel 5a 5G has arrived only in two markets such as the US and Japan. It carries a price tag of $449 (~Rs 33,400) in the US and it will come in a single Mostly Black colour. The smartphone is now up for pre-orders and its sales are slated to begin on August 26th. It appears that the company has no plans to release ethe Pixel 5a 5G in India.
