- The Google Pixel 6a is Rs 6,209 cheaper on Amazon India
- These devices are imported and are not protected by the company’s one-year warranty policy
- The Pixel 6a is officially available on Flipkart at Rs 43,999
In July this year, Google launched its latest mid-range offering, Pixel 6a, in India. After the launch, Google made the Pixel 6a available on Flipkart for Indian customers. But now, the smartphone is available on Amazon India for Rs 6,209 cheaper. This deal might sound tempting, but there is a big catch. Here’s why we think you should not get the Pixel 6a from Amazon India.
The devices listed on Amazon are presumably imported and not covered under the brand’s one-year warranty. This means you will not get help from Google if anything goes wrong with your Pixel device. The Google Pixel 6a costs Rs 43,999 on Flipkart, but on the other side, it costs only Rs 37,790 on Amazon.
However, with Flipkart, you are getting a one-year brand warranty which is missing on Amazon. So if you are not comfortable buying a warranty-less smartphone, then you should not get the Pixel 6a from Amazon, as the cheaper price tag may prove costly in the long run.
Google Pixel 6a specifications
The Pixel 6a packs in a 6.1-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel that supports HDR and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, it gets Google’s in-house Tensor chip with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. However, customers will get 100 GB of cloud storage from Google One. It runs on Android 12 out of the box.
Regarding optics, the Pixel 6a houses a dual rear camera setup with 12.2MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, it encompasses an 8MP front-facing camera. The device is backed by a 4,306mAh battery that gets refuelled by 18W fast charging.
