Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro display specifications have leaked in a report by the Android Authority. To recall, the publication recently leaked the camera specifications of both smartphones and now it has shared vital information on the upgrades the Pixel 8 duo will offer as compared to the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

According to the report, companies like China-based BOE and Samsung will provide the Google Pixel 8’s 6.17-inch OLED display. It will offer a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,400 nits of brightness, and a 427 ppi pixel density.

In comparison, the Pixel 7 featured a 6.31-inch Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 1,000 nits of brightness, and a 417 ppi pixel density. As far as display design is concerned, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro’s displays will have rounded corners, whereas the predecessor series’ screens have squared corners.

The Pixel 8 Pro is tipped to feature a BOE-made OLED panel of 6.70 inches. It will offer a Quad HD+ resolution of 1,344 x 2,992 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,600 nits of brightness, and a 490 ppi pixel density. In comparison, the Pixel 7 Pro featured a 6.71-inch OLED panel with a Quad HD+ resolution of 1,440 x 3,120 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,000 nits of brightness, and a higher pixel density of 512 ppi.

Rumours have revealed that the Pixel 8’s rear camera setup will comprise a Samsung ISOCELL GN2 50-megapixel primary camera, a Sony IMX386 12-megapixel camera, a ToF sensor, a microphone, and an LED flash. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a Samsung ISOCELL GN2 50-megapixel primary camera, a Sony IMX787 64-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a Samsung GM5 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, a microphone, a new ToF sensor, and an LED flash. For selfies, both phones will have a Samsung 3J1 11-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Tensor G3 chipset will power the Pixel 8 series. The lineup is expected to come with up o 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. At present, there is no information available on the battery and fast charging capabilities of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The Pro model will also feature an FIR thermometer, which will allow users to measure the temperature of the body or objects.
