Haier Launches Mini And Premium Vertical Freezers For Indian Homes

On: April 30, 2019

Home appliances brand Haier has launched two new vertical freezers in India. The models consist of a Mini Vertical Freezer – BD88DEM and Premium Vertical Freezer – BD168WL. Both these freezers feature divided compartments and a flexible temeprature range to help retain the nutritional value of frozen food. Haier says vertical freezers eliminate frost formation due to their design, a flaw often found in chest freezers.

The Mini Vertical Freezer (BD88DEM) is better suited for modern homes and nuclear families with a smaller consumption of frozen food. It features a capacity of 88 litres and can be placed under the counter, making it ideal for modular kitchen layouts. It comes with an LED temperature display and separate shelves for meat and vegetables, which ensures the smell and taste of food is preserved. It comes with a temperature range of -4 to -25 degrees, which can be customised according to the contents.

The Premum Vertical Freezer (BD168WL) on the other hand is designed for larger families with a greater reliance on frozen food. It features a capacity of 168 litres, different types of shelves for better organisation and a gold finish.

Commenting on the launch, Eric Braganza, President of Haier India, said, “This summer season, we have expanded our range of products across categories. With the introduction of this unique range of Vertical Freezers, we’re offering a meticulously designed solution to cater to the Indian users. We have evolved in terms of our lifestyles, food preferences and design sense of our kitchens. This encourages us to meet the growing demands and offer technology backed products to solve user concerns. The new range will add to the user’s convenience while ensuring greater satisfaction and utility.”

Coming to the pricing, the Haier Mini Vertical Freezer has been priced at Rs 19,000, while the larger capacitiy Premium Vertical model will set you back by Rs 27,000. Both models will be available across India.
