Similar to the electric scooter industry, the electric car business is faring better than ever, thanks to a wider range of options for buyers. The Tata Tiago EV took the market by surprise with its low-cost appeal, and we now have another affordable EV that costs almost half as much as the Tata offering — the EaS-E PMV Electric.
This is PMV’s first electric car in the country and would certainly appeal to individuals and couples considering the size. The name EaS-E stands for Eco-Friendly and Sustainable–Electric, the manufacturer said. As you would expect from the design, the EaS-E can only seat two people at a time.

PMV EaS-E features and range
Customers can choose from a total of 11 colours for the EaS-E, including Brilliant White, Deep Green, Funky Yellow, Majestic Blue, Passionate Red, Peppy Orange, Pure Black, Royal Beige, Rustic Charcoal, Sparkle Silver, and Vintage Brown.
The EV is only 1157mm wide and has a height of 1600mm, while the overall length of the vehicle is 2915mm. As per PMV, the EaS-E has a 170mm ground clearance and weighs 575kg. Considering the size limitations, this car can only run at a maximum speed of 70 kmph. The rear drum brakes on the EV also support regenerative braking.
PMV said the EaS-E makes use of a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, although the capacity wasn’t specified. However, the battery can help the car run for roughly 160km on a full charge. Moreover, the EV can fully recharge itself in under four hours using a conventional home power outlet.
Features like cruise control and “feet-free driving” are included, too, making this a compact and feature-rich EV. Customers will also find features like remote keyless entry, remote diagnostics, and remote parking assist with a connected mobile device.
PMV EaS-E price and availability
Among the key highlights of the EaS-E is its starting price of Rs 4.79 lakhs (ex-showroom). However, the company specifies that this is an introductory offer and that the pricing will be available for the first 10,000 customers. PMV said it has already received around 6,000 orders for the EaS-E.
Customers can also get the upgraded versions of the EaS-E with a bigger battery, featuring an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 6.79 lakhs and Rs 7.79 lakhs. The company’s pre-bookings are still open and interested buyers can reserve their EaS-E by paying a fee of Rs 2,000. You can find more details about the EV on the company’s website below.
