HMD Global announces IFA event on September 5th, new Nokia phones expected

HMD Global has announced its presence at IFA 2019. The trade show is scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany from September 6th till September 11th. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Office – HMD Global has tweeted that this is the first time the company will be attending the show. The image in his tweet states that an event is scheduled on September 5th at 4pm, which could mean the arrival of new Nokia phones.

Nokia phones are all Android One offerings, and the Nokia 8.2, Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 can be expected along with a couple of feature phones.

The Nokia 8.2 could sport a 32MP pop-up selfie camera. The Nokia 7.2, on the other hand, is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup (48MP + 5MP + 2MP) and a waterdrop notch display. Various reports have also pointed at the presence of Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor and a 3,500mAh battery unit. The Nokia 6.2 is likely to feature an FHD+ punch-hole display, 3,300mAh battery, triple cameras (20MP + 8MP + 5MP), Android 9.0 Pie and Snapdragon 660 as well. Since the Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 are likely to launch in China this month, their global launch can be expected at IFA 2019.
