Honor 7S with 5.45-inch 18:9 display and 13MP Camera launched for Rs 6,999

Around three months ago, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had launched the budget-friendly 7S smartphone in Pakistan. It was unveiled as Honor 7 Play in China. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has officially announced the Honor 7S phone in India. The Honor 7S joins other Honor 7 series smartphones such as Honor 7C and Honor 7A that were unveiled in May this year in the country.

Honor 7S Specifications, Features and Pricing

The Honor 7S features a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display. The 18:9 aspect ratio display features a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The handset offers a screen-to-body ratio of 73 percent. The modest MediaTek MT6739 chipset powers the Honor 7S along with 2 GB of RAM. The handset includes an internal storage of 16 GB and it is equipped with a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage.

There is a single 13-megapixel camera present on the back of the Honor 7S. It is enabled with features like PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. At the front of the phone is a 5-megapixels selfie shooter. Honor has added a soft-light LED for capturing better selfie images. The handset receives power from a 3,020mAh battery that is coupled with Smart Battery Management for improving its battery performance. It is preinstalled with Android 8.1 Oreo OS. Honor has included some interesting features such as eye protection mode, split-screen mode, tap to wake, three-finger screenshot and more.

The other features of the Honor 7S are dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack. It is equipped with a loud receiver feature. The metal-bodied handset measures 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.3mm and weighs 142 grams. The color variants of the Honor 7S are Black, Blue and Gold.

The Honor 7S has landed with a price tag of Rs. 6,999. It will be available through Flipkart and Honor India’s online store starting from 14th September at 12 PM. The handset will be competing with the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 5, Nokia 2.1, Samsung Galaxy J2 Core and the upcoming Redmi 6A. Honor is running a Spin-to-Win contest that allows users to win various devices such as the Honor Band 3, Honor Play, Honor 9N and the all new Honor 7S. The contest will continue until 7th September.
