Huawei’s sub-brand Honor today unveil the mid-range Honor 8 Lite in India. To recall, it was first announced earlier this year in Europe. The Honor 8 Lite, as the name suggests, is the younger sibling of last year’s Honor 8. One of the notable differences between the two revolves around the camera. While the selling point of the Honor 8 was a 12-megapixel dual rear camera, the Honor 8 Lite houses a single 12-megapixel rear camera. Inside is somewhat less powerful HiSilicon Kirin 655 octa-core chip, similar to the Honor 6X. The Honor 8, on the other hand, equips a high-end HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor.
The Honor 8 Lite packs Android Nougat operating system with the company’s Emotion UI 5.0 running on top. Specs-wise, it sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display. It embraces 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage, which is expandable up to 128GB. The dual-SIM Honor 8 Lite hides two nano SIM slots under the hood. The Honor 8 Lite features an 8-megapixel secondary for selfies with a 77-degree wide-angle lens. Below the rear camera sits a fingerprint scanner. Design-wise, it weighs 147g and measures 147.2 x 72.94 x 7.6 mm. It packs a 3000mAh battery in addition to connectivity options like 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.
The Honor 8 Lite comes in black colour and costs Rs 17,999. It will be up for grabs starting tomorrow. The company will also unveil a blue variant of the Honor 8 Lite later this month.
