Honor 9C, Honor 9S and Honor 9A launched: price, specifications

Honor has launched a trio of smartphones in the Honor 9 series ranging from mid-range to low-end. These smartphones have silently gone official in Russia. They are called Honor 9A, Honor 9C, and Honor 9S, with the 9C being the most expensive of the lot and Honor 9S positioned as an entry-level offering. The Honor 9C offers a Kirin 710 chipset, punch-hole design, 48MP triple cameras and a 4,000mAh battery. Honor is also offering free Honor Bands with the purchase of the Honor 9C and 9A in Russia. Honor 9C is the most expensive smartphone of the lot

The most expensive of the lot, the Honor 9C comes sporting a 6.39-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner to house the selfie camera. The display offers an impressive 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. Taking care of the performance is the HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card.

Out of the box, the handset boots Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1.1 and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery. The handset features a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor on the back, and an 8MP snapper for selfies. The device will be offered in Blue and Black colour variants.

The Honor 9A ships with the same 6.3-inch HD+ display but with a waterdrop notch. Powering the handset is the MediaTek MT6762R SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. You get a 13MP primary sensor, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor on rear, and an 8MP snapper on the front. Other features include a 5,000mAh battery, Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1.1, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Honor 9A is being offered in black, blue and green colours.

Lastly, the Honor 9S features smaller 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with thick bezels all around. The handset is powered by the MediaTek MT6762 SoC with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. Other features include Android 10 with MagicUI 3.1, 8MP rear camera, 5MP selfie shooter and 3,020mAh battery. The 9S is being offered in black, red or blue paint jobs.

Honor 9C, Honor 9S, and Honor 9A price and availability

The Honor 9A will retail for RUB 10,990 (~Rs 11,300), with a complimentary Honor Band 4. The Honor 9C will set buyers back by RUB 12,990 (approx Rs 13,400) with a free Honor Band 5 fitness tracker. Lastly, the Honor 9S costs RUB 6,990 (~Rs 7,200). These smartphones will go on sale starting May 4 and are already up for pre-booking in Russia.
