Honor 9N Launched with Notch Display & Dual Cameras, Starts from Rs. 11,999

Honor is ramping up its efforts in India by launching smartphones with impressive specifications at an affordable pricing. Today, at an event held in New Delhi, the Chinese brand launched Honor 9N, a mid-budget smartphone that bears the notch-design and comes with dual-rear cameras. The phone starts from Rs. 11,999 for the base variant. It is a Flipkart exclusive device and goes on sale from July 31.

The Honor 9N bears a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. As mentioned earlier, it has a bezel-less notch design. The screen has a 2.5D curved glass and there is no information about whether it has a Gorilla Glass on top for protection. The device is available in Lavender Purple, Robin Egg Blue, Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black.

The phone has got dual-rear cameras in the back that promise good picture quality. There’s a 13-megapixel sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel camera in the back. The dual combination offers various features including portrait mode. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera that also has a beauty mode. There are various AI tricks that go into play to make the camera better through software.

Performance wise, the Honor 9N rocks an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC. There are two RAM and three storage variants of the phone. You get 3GB or 4GB of RAM and with regards to storage, options include 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Storage is also expandable via a microSD card up to 256GB. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and just like all Honor devices, it comes with EMUI 8.0 on top. Like most other smartphones these days, it is equipped with the ability to face unlock.

In terms of connectivity, the Honor 9N supports all sorts of options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth, GPS/A GPS among others.

Price of the Honor 9N:

3GB + 32GB – Rs. 11,999

4GB + 64GB – Rs. 13,999

6GB + 128GB – Rs. 17,999

The Honor 9N will exclusively be available on Flipkart and the first sale is on 12PM, July 31st.
