Honor 9X launch in India expected soon as global rollout begins

In July, Honor had launched the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro smartphones in China. Since then, the Honor 9X series has been only available in the brand’s home market of china. The global rollout of the smartphone will soon begin starting with European markets. The Honor 9X is now also expected to make its way to India. The Honor 9X Pro may also go official alongside it in the country.

The Honor 9X and 9X Pro come with glass and metal combination bodies. Both phones have identical specs and they mainly different in the camera department. The Honor 9X has a 6.59-inch IPS LCD notch-less display that offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The Honor 9X Pro features the same display.

The 7nm Kirin 810 chipset is present under the hood of Honor 9X duo. Both smartphones draw power from 4,000mAh batteries. They are fitted with side-mounted fingerpint scanners. Both phones are loaded with EMUI 9.1.1 based on Android 9 Pie. A microSD card slot is available on both smartphones for expanding the storage further.

The Honor 9X has a dual camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Honor 9X Pro has a triple camera system on its back. It includes an additional 8-megapixel superwide lens. The 9X duo are equipped with 16-megapixel pop-up selfie cameras.

Honor 9X and 9X Pro Price in India

The pricing of the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro for India are not known yet. In China, Honor 9X variants of 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage are priced at RMB 1,399 (~Rs 14,100), RMB 1,599 (~Rs 16,100) and RMB 1,899 (~Rs 19,100) respectively. The Honor 9X Pro variants of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage cost RMB 2,199 (~Rs 22,100) and RMB 2,399 (~Rs 24,100) respectively.
