On: July 16, 2019

On July 23rd, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor will be holding a launch even in China to announce the Honor 9X series of smartphones. The Honor 9X has appeared on TENAA with its full specifications, but the details of the Honor 9X Pro haven’t appeared yet. Starting from today, the Honor 9X Pro is for up reservations on Vmall in China. The entire design of the phone has been revealed through the official renders that are available on the Vmall listing.

The Honor 9X Pro images have revealed that it is equipped with a notch-less screen with slim bezels around it. The earpiece of the phone is lodged on the thin bezel at the top. The handset seems to boast a screen-to-body ratio of nearly 90 percent. The smartphone is equipped with a pop-up selfie camera.

The right spine of the Honor 9X Pro has a volume controller. Below it seems to be the fingerprint scanner integrated power key. The rear panel of the smartphone features a glass rear. The purple coloured edition of the phone is dubbed as Phantom Purple on the Vmall listing. It features a large-sized X-shaped design. At the top-left corner of the phone is an AI powered triple camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor. It is followed by an LED flash.

The Honor 9X Pro Vmall listing only confirms the Kirin 810 chipset, but provides no information on its other specs. Rumours suggest that the Honor 9X and its Pro edition will be arriving with identical specs. The main difference between the two phones is likely to be that the Honor 9X will come with a dual camera setup whereas the Pro model will sport triple rear cameras.

According to the TENAA listing of the Honor 9X, it features a 6.59-inch IPS LCD display that produces full HD+ resolution. The smartphone will arrive with up to 8GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of up to 256GB. For additional storage, it features a microSD card slot.

Android 9 Pie OS overlaid with EMUI 9 will run on the Honor 9X. For capturing selfies, it sports an elevating camera of 16-megapixels and its rear is fitted with a 48-megapixel + 2-megaixel dual camera setup. The smartphone draws power from a 4,000mAh battery. The Honor 9X Pro on the other hand is rumoured to come with 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera setup.
