Honor Band 5 with AMOLED display and 10 fitness modes launched in India for Rs 2,599

Honor has officially announced its Band 5 fitness tracker in the Indian market today. A successor to the Honor Band 4, the new offering is a Flipkart exclusive in India. It was launched in China last month.

Honor Band 5: specifications and features

With a 0.95-inch Full-colour AMOLED touchscreen display, the Honor band 5 houses customised watch faces. Consumers can use the watch face store to choose an option. The wearable also sports a 24-hour heart rate monitoring feature which uses AI-driven algorithms for accurate analysis. The Huawei TruSleep feature helps in identifying up to six sleep problems with sleep quality assessments. The feature can also give suggestions for a healthier sleep routine.

The wearable is further equipped with a Swim Stroke Recognition and can survive in up to 50 metres of water. The former feature can recognise four main swim strokes using sensors while recording speed, calories, distance covered and more. The Honor Band 5 supports 10 fitness modes and tracks heart rate, workout time, distance, speed, calories, and aerobic/anaerobic results. The advanced running planner on the band can give recommendations based on a user’s data and activity.

The band also houses a phone finder function and displays reminders and messages on its display. Additionally, it can also click selfies and group photos with the Remote Picture Taking feature. The band also provides a standby time of up to 14 hours on a single charge.

Honor Band 5: price and availability

The Honor Band 5 is priced at Rs 2,599 in India, and will be available via Flipkart starting today. It is available in three shades – Midnight Navy, Coral Pink and Meteorite Black.
