Honor Band 5i with USB plug-in charging port and colour display launched in China

Honor has launched two new products in China – the Honor 20 Lite smartphone and Honor Band 5i fitness band. The latter has arrived with a unique and rather simple plug-in charge design. This means that the band can be charged by plugging into a USB port and users won’t have to carry a special charger everywhere.

The Honor Band 5i comes with a 0.96-inch TFT full-colour touchscreen display with a resolution of 80 x 160 pixels. A capacitive home button is also placed at the bottom of the display panel. Users can choose from multiple watch faces and the panel can display up to 30 characters at a time. The band is capable of measuring SO2 levels and features TruSeen 3.5 heart rate monitoring.

With nine different sports modes, a sleep tracker and music controls, the Honor Band 5i houses multiple useful features. In addition to all this, the band is also water-resistant up to 50m, says the company. It runs on a 91mAh battery which can last for seven to nine days on a single charge. It has been launched in three shades – Coral Pink, Meteorite Black and Olive Green.

The Honor Band 5i is priced at RMB 159 (~ Rs 1,600) in China.  It is available for pre-order in the country until October 31st, and will start selling from November 1st.
