Honor has launched a new variant of the Honor Magic 2 in China. The Honor Magic 2 3D has a structured light 3D scanner at the front for face unlock and it works in the dark with 10,000 facial points to recognise the user’s face. Additionally, the phone has a slider design using which the triple front camera setup is revealed, just like the original Honor Magic 2 model.
Honor Magic 2 3D: specifications and features
The Honor Magic 2 3D features a 6.39-inch FHD+ display panel with a resolution of 2,240 x 1,080 pixels, a waterdrop style notch and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. In addition to the 3D scanner, the phone is also laced with an in-display fingerprint sensor for extra security. Performance wise, the device is equipped with a HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core processor with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The Honor Magic 2 3D comes with triple rear and front cameras. The setup includes 16MP + 24MP + 16MP sensors, while the front snapper has a 16MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and two 2MP depth sensors. The camera setup of the phone has features like AIS and AI-stabilization. The phone also has a 3,050mAh battery with support for 40W Fast Charging. As far as connectivity is concerned, the phone offers support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and a USB Type-C port. It runs Android 9 Pie with Magic UI 2 on top.
Honor Magic 2 3D: price and availability
