Huawei’s sub-brand Honor held an event in its home market of China today. At the event, the company introduced the Honor V30 and V30 Pro 5G smartphones and the MagicWatch 2 wearable. Alongside these products, the brand also unveiled its latest laptops called the Honor MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 at the same event. The company’s latest notebooks come with AMD’s Ryzen series processors. The new MagicBooks are smaller and lighter than their predecessors. Also, both are equipped with a pop-up webcam that’s placed between the function and power buttons. They also have integrated fingerprint sensors embedded inside the power button.
Honor MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 specifications and features
Talking about the Honor MagicBook 14, the notebook features a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The laptop is powered by up to an AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor, and can be equipped with up to the Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics. The notebook offers up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe SSD storage. The connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, USB 3.0 port, and USB 2.0 port. A 56Wh battery keeps the whole package running, which provides up to 9.5 hours of video playback. Notably, the device is capable of charging to 46 percent in just 30 minutes.
The MagicBook 14 has an 11 percent larger trackpad than its predecessors. They can be purchased with either Windows or Linux operating systems. The device has a software feature called Honor MagicLink, which provides instant two-way sharing between laptop and smartphone. Also, the device supports the dual-OS screen mirroring feature. As for the Honor MagicBook 15, the notebook offers a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The rest of the specifications of the laptop are the same as the MagicBook 14.
Honor MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 price
The Honor MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 are being offered at the starting price of RMB 3,599 (~Rs 36,500) and RMB 3,299 (~Rs 33,5oo) respectively. They will be available to buy in China in the near future.
