Honor MagicBook 15 with 10th gen Intel processors goes official

Earlier in November this year, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had launched the MagicBook 15 and 14 with AMD processors. Now the brand has announced the MagicBook 15 with the 10th generation Intel Core processors. The laptop is available in four configurations depending on the user’s needs. Apart from hardware, the rest of the specifications of the MagicBook 15 remain the same. Honor hasn’t announced the MagicBook 14 with intel core chipsets. Let’s take a look at the specs of MagicBook 15. 

The MagicBook 15 comes with a pop-up webcam and a fingerprint scanner.

Honor MagicBook 15 specifications and features

The Honor MagicBook 15 offers a 15.6-inch display bearing a full HD+ resolution and an 87 percent screen-to-body ratio. The laptop features a pop-up web camera placed between the function and the power button. The power button also doubles up as a fingerprint scanner for security purposes. The trackpad on MagicBook 15 is said to be 11 percent larger than its predecessor. 

Under the hood, the MagicBook 15 is equipped with up to 10th generation Core i7 processor paired with 2GB Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card. It packs up to 16GB RAM and offers up to 512GB in form of SSD. The laptop is available in either Windows or Linux-based operating systems. There is a software feature called Honor MagicLink that provides instant two-way sharing between laptop and smartphone. 

The Honor MagicBook is backed by a 42Wh battery unit with support for 65W fast charging. The laptop comes with Huawei’s 65W USB-C power adapter inside the box. Honor claims that the device will charge from zero to 70 percent in one hour while a full charge will take 2.5 hours. On the connectivity front, the MagicBook 15 comes with NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, one USB-C, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and an HDMI port.

Honor MagicBook 15 price and availability

The Honor MagicBook 15 with Core i5/ Nvidia GeForce MX250/ 8GB RAM/ 256GB SSD is priced at RMB 4,899 (~Rs 49,716). The same configuration with 512GB storage costs RMB 5,199 (~Rs 52,760). The Core i5/ Nvidia GeForce MX250/ 16GB RAM/ 512GB SSD will retail at RMB 5,499 (~Rs 55,805). The Core i7/ Nvidia GeForce MX250/ 16GB RAM/ 512GB SSD carries a price tag of RMB 5,899 (~Rs 59,864). 

The Honor MagicBook 15 with Intel processors is expected to start shipping in January 2020.
