Honor MagicBook 15 with AMD Ryzen 5 CPU and pop-up webcam launched in India: price, specifications

Today, Honor held an event in India to announce the Honor 9A and Honor 9S smartphones. At the same event, the company also launched the MagicBook 15 notebook. The AMD Ryzen-powered MagicBook 15 was originally announced with the Honor V30 series in China in November 2019.

The Honor MagicBook 15 is offers a high screen-to-body ratio, AMD Ryzen 5 processor, pop-up web camera, and 65W fast charging via USB Type-C. It promises a battery backup of over 6 hours.

Honor MagicBook 15 specifications and features

The Honor MagicBook 15 has a slim profile of 16.9mm and weighs 1.53kg. The laptop is fitted with a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display that offers a viewing angle of 178 degrees and an anti-glare coating. With slim bezels around the screen, the MagicBook 15 offers an 87 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The laptop is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 3500 processor with Radeon Vega 8 graphics. It gets 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD storage. It comes preloaded with Windows 10 Home. As per Honor, the S-shaped internal fan can effectively dissipate heat while using the device for longer hours.

The Honor MagicBook 15 is equipped with a pop-up web camera. For security, it features a fingerprint scanner. Honor offers a 65W fast charger along with the notebook, through which it can be charged to 53 percent in 30 minutes, as per the brand. On a single charge, it can last for up to 6.6 hours, claims the company. Lastly, it offers NFC connectivity to transfer files between the notebook and the NFC-enabled Honor smartphones.

Honor MagicBook 15 price in India

The Honor MagicBook 15 has arrived in India with a price tag of Rs 42,990. Starting August 5th, the Honor MagicBook 15 will be made available for Flipkart as part of an early access sale. During the first sale, the notebook will be available with a Rs 3,000 discount, and will cost Rs 39,990.

The regular sales of the MagicBook 15 will begin from August 6th. Buyers of the Honor notebook can take advantage of offers like no-cost EMI for up to 12 months and product exchange offer of up to Rs. 13,000.
