Honor MagicBook Pro, MagicBook 14, 15 and Honor Pad 6, X6 tablets announced

At IFA 2020, Honor announced its new smartwatches including the Watch GS Pro and Watch ES. The Huawei sub-brand also took the time to announce a couple of other products such as the Honor MagicBook Pro, MagicBook 14, and MagicBook 15 laptops, along with the Honor Pad 6 and Pad X6 tablets.

The AMD Ryzen 5 4500U powered Honor MagicBook 14 and 15 are refreshed laptops of their previous editions that were announced earlier this year. The MagicBook Pro is equipped with the more powerful Ryzen H series processor that consumes less power. It is an alternative to the 10th-gen Intel Core i5 chipset that had gone official in May. The Honor Pad 6 and Pad X6 are budget-friendly tablets from the brand.

The Honor Magicbook Pro and MagicBook 14 and 15 are powered by AMD Ryzen chipsets

The Honor MagicBook Pro features the AMD Ryzen 5 4600UH 6-core processor that clocks at 4.0GHz in turbo mode along with 6-core Radeon Vega graphics that ticks at 1.5GHz. The laptop has 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM and a 51GB of NVMe SSD storage. It has a 16.1-inch full HD+ display that supports 100 percent sRGB color gamut and offers a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The MagicBook Pro has a 56Wh battery that promises 11 hours of video playback and it comes with a 65W USB-C charger. For maintaining internal temperature, the MagicBook Pro is equipped with two fans and a dual heat pipe cooling mechanism. The tablet offers connectivity features like HDMI 2.0, USB-C, USB-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The notebook also features a pop-up camera, a backlit keyboard, and a fingerprint scanner. It weighs only 1.7kg and it has a thickness of 16.9mm.

The MagicBook 14 and 15 are powered by Ryzen 5 4500U CPU. Both devices come with 8GB / 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM and 256GB / 512BGB of NVMe SSD storage. The MagicBook 14 has a 14-inch full HD display and a 56Wh battery, whereas the MagicBook 15 has a 15.6-inch full HD screen and a smaller 42Wh battery.

Both models come with a 65W USB-C charger. The Honor MagicBook 14 and 15 come with features like USB-C, USB- 3.0, USB-A 2.0, HDMI, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. These devices have an aluminium chassis and slim bezels. The MagicBook 14 and 15 weigh 1.38kg and 1.53kg, respectively.

The Honor MagicBook Pro is priced at €900 (~Rs 78,000) and it will be available for purchase starting from the next week in the European markets. The MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 are priced at €750 (~Rs 65,000) and €700 (~Rs 60,700), respectively. The 14-inch model will be available in Europe from September 21st, whereas the sales of the 15-inch variant will begin from early October.

The Honor Pad 6 and Honor Pad X6 feature large displays and 5,100mAh batteries

The Honor Pad 6 has a 10.1-inch full HD display, whereas the Pad X6 features a 9.7-inch screen with 800 x 1,280 pixels resolution. Both tablets have an aluminum chassis and they are equipped with two speakers powered by Histen 6.1 audio technology.

The Kirin 710A chipset powers the Honor Pad 6 and Pad X6 and they run Magic UI 3.1 based on Android 10. They are also equipped with 2-megapixel front-facing cameras and 5-megapixel rear-mounted snappers. Both tablets are fueled by 5,100mAh batteries.

The Pad 6 has 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of built-in storage. The Pad X6 has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. They are equipped with connectivity features like optional 4G, W-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB-C.

The global pricing and availability of the Honor Pad 6 and X6 are yet to be revealed.
