Honor Play 3 Specifications and Features

Honor Play 3

Many phones in the market such as Honor 20 series, Huawei Nova 4, Samsung Galaxy M40, Vivo Z1 Pro and others are equipped with punch-hole displays. The Honor Play 3 is among the first few budget-friendly phones to sport such a display to offer users with a screen-to-body ratio of 90.15 percent. The phone houses a 6.39-inch IPS screen that delivers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. Honor claims that it has reduced the size of the punch-hole by 30 percent. It measures only 4.5mm. There is a layer of aluminosilicate glass on the display to protect it from scratches.

The Kirin 710F chipset along with up to 6GB of RAM fuels the smartphone. The phone comes with a massive native storage of 128GB. For more storage, there is a hybrid SIM slot for adding a microSD card. The handset also features a big battery of 4,000mAh. However, it supports only 10W charging through micro-USB.

The back panel of the Honor Play 3 has a triple camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel main lens with f/1.8 aperture, an ultrawide lens of 8-megapixels with 120-degree of field-of-view and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The punch-hole of the display houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture rating.

Android 9 Pie OS along with EMUI 9.1 comes preloaded on the Honor Play 3. There is Game Turbo onboard for smoother gaming experience. The Honor Play 3 with its IP5X rating offers some level of water and dust resistance. It measures 158.9 x 76.1 x 8.1mm and weighs 179 grams. It comes with all the necessary connectivity features, but lacks a fingerprint reader. So, face unlock is the only the biometric recognition feature on the device.
