Honor V30 series to debut in China on November 26th

Over the past few months, Honor has been teasing the launch of the Honor V30 series smartphones in its home market of China. The company has now announced that the Honor V30 series handsets will finally see the light of the day at an event in China on November 26th. The announcement was made by Honor’s President George Zhao during a live broadcast of Honor’s ongoing shopping festival for Singles Day in China. Apart from that, this morning the company revealed two posters to affirm the launch date and the front design of V30 series on its social handle for the Chinese networking website Weibo. The Honor V30 lineup is expected to include Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro smartphones.

The new teaser posters reveal that the Honor V30 or / both V30 Pro phone will be equipped with a screen with a tall aspect ratio that will have an elliptical cutout at the top-left corner. The cutout is wide enough to house two front-facing cameras.

Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro specifications and features

While the Honor V30 Pro is expected to come with dual selfie snappers, the Honor V30 is said to feature a smaller cutout on its display for a single front camera. Both phones may feature IPS LCD panels. However, it remains to be seen whether an OLED panel will be incorporated on the Pro model in the V30 series.

While the Honor V30 Pro model is said to offer a quad-camera setup at the rear, the V30 is expected to offer only three primary cameras at the back. Previous rumours have claimed that the Honor V30 series will be sporting Huawei Mate 20 series like square-shaped camera module on the back. However, the recently leaked images suggest the presence of a rectangular camera module at the top-left corner. The camera housing in the below image has three lenses. The blurry image also suggests that the device could be equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. There’s a possibility that the image below is of the Honor V30, and the Honor V30 Pro could have four cameras at the back.

The Honor V30 is rumoured to be powered by the 4G-enabled Kirin 990 chipset and a 4,000mAh battery with support for 30W quick charging. As for the Honor V30 Pro, it could be driven by the Kirin 990 5G chipset and may house a larger 4,200mAh battery with 40W fast charging support.

Apart from the Honor V30 and V30 Pro phones, the company is also expected to introduce a new tablet called the Honor Tab 6 at the November 26th event. We will have more details in a matter of weeks, so stay tuned for regular updates.
