After spotting the Huawei MatePad Pro on Geekbench yesterday, we’ve now come across what we believe is the bigger brother (Honor V30 Pro 5G) of the Honor V30 on Geekbench. The model number HUAWEI OXF-AN10 should, at least in theory, belong to the Huawei V30 Pro 5G as the OXF-AN00 model number is for the Honor V30 5G. There’s no doubt that there will be two versions of the Honor V30 especially since Huawei itself has been teasing the device. Evidence of the existence of the Honor V30 Pro was also confirmed when an Honor official posted on Weibo using the device recently.
Coming to the Geekbench log for the handset, this model has 8GB of RAM along with Android 10 onboard which was also the case with the MatePad Pro. The processor is a HiSilicon octa-core processor that has a frequency of 1.95 GHz. The Kirin 990 5G has a base frequency of 1.86GHz and this is a bit higher but we don’t expect Huawei to put any other CPU inside its flagship smartphone.
It has previously been tipped that the Honor V30 Pro 5G will have a quad-camera setup and leaked renders in the past week have reiterated that as well. On the other hand, the Honor V30 is believed to sport a triple camera setup. The front screen is confirmed to have pill-shaped hole-punch similar to the Galaxy S10+ and a side-mounted fingerprint reader is also expected. This means that we’ll be getting dual selfie cameras on at least one of the two models. And since there is no on-screen fingerprint reader, the display could very well be of the LCD variety.
Honor is also set to launch the Honor Watch Magic 2, an Honor MagicBook 15, along with the Honor V30 scheduled for November 26th.
