Huawei had launched its flagship tablet, the MatePad Pro last November, while the 5G version of the same debuted globally earlier in February this year. Now, the company’s sub-brand Honor has launched a new tablet in China. It is dubbed as the Honor V6.
The device packs flagship specifications and features. It is quite similar to the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G. The Honor V6 is the industry’s first tablet to feature both 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The tablet competes against the likes of Apple iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6.
Honor V6 specifications and features
On the display front, the Honor V6 features a 10.4-inch screen bearing 2K resolution (2,000 x 1,200px). It offers an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. The tablet flaunts a glossy rear panel with a gradient design. It is offered in three colour options – Wizard of Oz, Titanium Sky Silver, and Magic Night Black. The back panel houses a single 13MP f/1.8 camera accompanied by LED flash inside a rectangular module. In the front, the device features an 8MP f/2.0 shooter for selfies and video calls. Honor is bundling a Magic Pencil stylus with the tablet. It offers support for 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The Honor V6 also comes with a Bluetooth mechanical keyboard.
Under the hood, the Honor V6 is powered by a Kirin 985 SoC with support for WiFi 6 technology and 5G connectivity. The processor is paired with 6GB RAM and offers 128GB onboard storage. A 7,250mAh battery unit fitted inside keeps the Honor V6 running. It supports 22.5W fast charging via a USB-C port. Software-wise, the Honor V6 runs on the brand’s Magic UI 3.1 based on Android 10. However, it doesn’t ship with Goggle services onboard and users need to rely on HMS and AppGallery for downloading apps.
Honor V6 pricing and availability
Honor is yet to reveal the pricing and availability details of the Honor V6. The tablet is currently up for pre-order in China.
