Honor View 20 with Punch-Hole Display and Kirin 980 Launched in India, prices start at Rs 37,999

The Honor V20 was announced as the world’s first phone with a punch-hole display design in China last December. The same phone was introduced internationally as the Honor View 20 earlier this month. Today, the company has launched the smartphone in India.

Honor View 20 Specifications and Features

The Honor View 20 features a glass body with an aluminum frame running along its edges. The V-shaped nanotexture pattern on the rear side of the phone accentuates its appearance. It is fitted with an IPS LCD display measuring 6.4-inches that features a small hole at the top-left corner for the selfie camera. The display offers full HD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a screen to body ratio of around 91 percent.

The 7nm Kirin 980 SoC powers the Honor View 20 along with up to 8GB of RAM. The smartphone features up to 256GB of native storage. There is no microSD card slot on the device. A 4,000mAh battery resides inside the View 20 smartphone, which is 18W fast charging enabled. To maintain the internal temperature, Honor engineers have incorporated Pc-grade NINE liquid cooling technology inside the smartphone.

The rear side of the Honor View 20 has an f/1.8 aperture 48-megpixel Sony IMX586 camera sensor along with 3D ToF (Time of Flight) stereo lens for measuring depth. The display hole houses the 25-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone runs Magic 2.0 UI based on Android 9 Pie. The other features of the smartphone include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm audio jack.


Honor View 20 Price and Availability

The Honor View 20 has been introduced with a price tag of Rs 37,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The higher-end model of the phone with 8GB RAM + 256GB carries a price tag of Rs 45,999. The phone will be sold online exclusively on Amazon India and and offline via Reliance Digital stores. It is available in Phantom Blue, Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black colors, with sales beginning at midnight tonight.
