Honor View20 Registrations Begin on Amazon India

On Wednesday, Honor had launched the Honor V20 smartphone in China. Just as the predecessor Honor V10 was made available outside of the home market as View 10, in the same V20 will be coming to international markets including India as the Honor View20. The exact launch date of the Honor View20 in the country has not been announced yet. However, the company has confirmed that the handset will be sold exclusively through Amazon India. The handset is now available for registrations on the retailer site.

One of the major USPs of the Honor View20 is that it features a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor that promises a DSLR-like photography experience. Moreover, users can take advantage of unmatched photography experience on the Honor View20 thanks to the Kirin 980 chipset’s dual-ISP and dual-NPU as well, which provide the AI computing prowess for recognising more than 60 categories with 1,500 scenarios in real-time. The handset can also capture slow-motion videos at 960 fps.

The 6.4-inch All-View Display of the Honor View20 features a small hole at the upper-left corner for the embedded selfie camera. The display delivers a screen-to-body ratio of 91.8 percent.

Through the launch of the Honor V20, it has been revealed that the View20 will be fuelled by the 7nm Kirin 980 chipset, which also  powers Huawei’s flagship phones such as the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and Honor’s Magic 2 which is only available in China for now. There is a ToF (Time of Flight) 3D camera besides the 48-megapixel camera for Augmented Reality (AR).

For capturing selfie shots, the Honor View20 will be equipped with a 25-megapixel selfie snapper. The handset will be featuring a 4,000mAh battery which will carry support for 4.5V/5A fast charging. The handset will include the innovative Link Turbo technology that combines Wi-Fi and LTE network connections for buffer-free experience. The Android 9 Pie OS customised with Magic UI 2.0 skin comes loaded on the smartphone. The handset lacks support for microSD card slot.

In China, the 6GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 128GB versions of the Honor V20 are respectively priced at 2,999 Yuan (~Rs 30,700) and 3,499 Yuan (~Rs 35,800) The V20 can be bought in various colours like Midnight Black, Charm Blue and Charm Red. By partnering with Italian luxury brand MOSCHINO, Honor has also announced a special edition of the smartphone called the Honor V20 MOSCHINO in China. The latter is priced at 3,999 Yuan (~Rs 41,000) and can be had in Blue or Red hues.

Now that Huawei’s sub-brand has started with the registrations of the Honor View20 in India, it appears that the handset will be launching in January 2019.,
