Honor has announed two new smartwatches namely, the Honor Watch GS Pro and Honor Watch ES at the ongoing IFA 2020 event. The Watch GS Pro is the first rugged smartwatch from the brand designed for adventure enthusiasts. The Watch ES is a fitness tracker cum smartwatch.
The Honor Watch GS Pro is built to withstand harsh conditions and it offers a long battery life. On the other side, the Watch ES has an elegant display that can be customized with different watch faces. Both devices are capable of tracking a wide range of fitness features.
Honor Watch GS Pro specifications and features
The Honor Watch GS Pro sports a circular 1.39-inch AMOLED display that produces a 454 x 454 pixels resolution. The device has a polycarbonate construction, a stainless-steel bezel, and a silicone strap. With 14 MIL-STD-810G certifications in two, the smartwatch can withstand water, shock, and thermal damage.
The Kirin A1 chipset is present under the hood of the Watch GS Pro. According to the company, the smartwatch in its low power mode can last for up to 25 days. It comes with connectivity features like GPS and Bluetooth 5.1.
For people who are into hiking, skiing, and swimming, the Honor Watch GS Pro offers dedicated features like tide condition, bad weather alert, hike navigation, skiing, and snowboard tracking. All in all, the device offers users support for over 100 workout modes. The usual health tracking features like blood oxygen content monitor, heart rate tracker, and sleeping tracker are also available on the Watch GS Pro.
Honor Watch ES specifications and features
The Honor Watch ES smartwatch with fitness tracking capabilities features a rectangular 1.64-inch AMOLED display that delivers 456 x 280 pixels resolution. The smartwatch offers always-on functionality and it can be customized with widgets and watch faces.
The Watch ES offers 12 preinstalled animated fitness courses with step-by-step instructions. The device is capable at tracking 95 workout modes from running to adventurous activities like parachuting. The Watch ES supports heart rate, blood oxygen content, sleep, and stress tracking.
The dual chipset technology makes it possible for the Honor Watch ES to last for up to 10 days once charged. While it takes 100 minutes to charge the device completely, the company claims it can gain 70 percent battery in just 30 minutes.
Honor Watch GS Pro and Watch ES pricing and availability
The Honor Watch GS Pro is priced at €250 (~Rs 21,700) and it comes in colours like Camo Blue, Charcoal Black, and Marl White. The Watch ES costs €100 (~Rs 8,700) and its colour options are black, pink, and white. The pre-orders of both products will begin in Europe on September 7th. There is no word yet on the arrival of these devices in India.
