Honor has been teasing the launch of its latest X-series mid-range smartphone for a while now. The smartphone is also the first in the line-up to come with 5G connectivity out of the box. Several leaks and rumours in the past have already revealed all there is to know about the Honor X10 5G.
Now, the Huawei sub-brand has gone ahead and launched the smartphone in China through an online event. The smartphone comes with a full-screen display, pop-up selfie camera, 40MP triple rear cameras and 5G connectivity as its key selling points.
Honor X10 5G specifications and features
The Honor X10 5G has a 6.63-inch IPS LCD display with full HD+ resolution. The screen features a 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the Honor X10 5G features the latest HiSilicon Kirin 820 chipset with an integrated 5G modem. The processor is accompanied by up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The storage can be further increased using a nanoSD card.
The Honor X10 5G features a 40MP f/1.8 RYYB Sony IMX600Y primary sensor backed by an 8MP f/2.4 ultra-wide lens and 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The elevating selfie camera module houses a 16MP sensor. Honor says that the Kirin 820 uses the same ISP 5.0 image sensor processor as the flagship Kirin 990 5G SoC. The camera app is loaded with features like AI scene detection, AIS handheld Super Night Scene 2.0, 4K UHD video shooting, and 960fps slo-mo video recording.
Out of the box, the smartphone boots Magic UI 3.1.1 based on Android 10 and is powered by a 4,300mAh battery. Honor has equipped the battery with support for 22.5W fast charging. The Honor X10 5G features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security and an IPX5 rating for protection against dust and water.
Honor X10 5G price and availability
Honor is offering the X10 5G in four colours – Racing Blue, Light Speed Silver, Burning Power Orange and Speed Black.. The base 6GB + 64GB variant will retail at RMB 1,899 (~Rs 20,250) and the 128GB model will cost RMB 2,199 (~Rs 23,500). The top-end 8GB + 128GB variant will set you back by RMB 2,399 (~Rs 25,600). The smartphone will go on sale starting May 26th in China.
