HP Chromebook x360 launched in India: price, specifications

HP has unveiled a new Chromebook in India dubbed as the Chromebook x360. Vickram Bedi, Senior Director, personal systems, HP Inc. India said in a statement “We are excited to introduce the HP Chromebook x360 in India to help modern consumers unlock new ways to create, collaborate and consume with the features and functionalities of Chrome OS and Android apps,”

Technical Specifications:

The HP Chromebook x360 is a 14-inch convertible laptop bearing a FHD resolution. The display is surrounded by ultra-thin bezels and also offers touchscreen functionality. The laptop can be used in four form factors i.e. laptop, tablet, stand, and tent. The Chromebook x360 sports a premium design with 3D metal chassis with anodized aluminum finish in a white matte colour. It has a 3D stamped metal keyboard deck in cold blue with colour matched keycaps. The laptop features Bang and Olufsen dual speakers. 

On the hardware front, the HP Chromebook x360 is equipped with an Intel Core 8th gen processor. It packs up to 8GB DDR4 RAM and offers up to 64GB SSD storage. The laptop is backed by a 60Wh battery unit. The Chromebook x360 is powered by Google’s Chrome OS and is compatible with Android apps. HP says that the Chromebook x360 is optimised for PC users who depend on Google for computational work including content creation and consumption, multiple app usage and more. 

Pricing & Availability:

The HP Chromebook x360 carries a starting price of Rs 44,990. It can be purchased at 250 HP world stores in 28 cities, HP online store and leading e-commerce platforms Flipkart and Amazon. Customers will get 100GB of Google Drive storage and unlimited Google Photos Storage. Jio users will be eligible for 2GB high-speed 4G data every day for 1 year with JioFi devices at Rs 999, along with prime subscription to Jio Android apps. Lastly for students, HP Chromebook users will get exclusive access to the Meritnation education package, worth Rs 35,000.
