HP Spectre Folio and Spectre x360 convertible PCs launched in India

HP has launched its premium new Spectre series in India. The range consists of two convertible offerings – the HP Spectre Folio and the HP Spectre x360. The former offering is the world’s first leather convertible PC while the second has special security features like a privacy camera kill switch.

HP Spectre Folio: specifications

The HP Spectre Folio comes with a 13.3-inch FHD IPS micro-edge WLED-backlit touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The display has a brightness level of 400 nits and a 72 percent colour gamut. The PC carries a full-size island-style backlit keyboard along with HP Imagepad with multi-touch gesture support. This offering runs on the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. It has front-facing speakers by Bang and Olufsen to enhance the audio experience. Additionally, the PC has a dual array digital microphone, a webcam with FHD Hybrid BSI sensor, one USB Type-C port, two Thunderbolt 3 ports and one combo port for the microphone and headphone. It can be used in four modes – laptop, folio, forward and tablet.

The PC also features a six-cell Li-ion polymer battery which could last for up to 21 hours along with HP Fast Charge. The device runs Windows 10 Pro and comes with McAfee LiveSafe which is free for 12 months. The HP Spectre Folio comes with HP Audio Switch, HP ePrint and Dropbox. The offering is available in a Cognac brown shade and is made of leather. The PC is compatible with Miracast and sports Intel Wireless-AC 8265 802.11b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 combo.

HP Spectre x360: specifications

The Spectre x360 can be used in four distinct positions – laptop, tent, reverse and tablet. It has a 13.3-inch FHD WLED UWVA/IPS backlit touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT. The display has a brightness of 300 nits and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels along with a 72 percent colour gamut. The HP Spectre x360 features a full-size island-style backlit keyboard and HP Imagepad with multi-touch gesture support. The offering is kitted with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 quad-core processor with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It has quad speakers by Bang & Olufsen enhanced with HP Audio Boost 2.0. Along with all this, the PC features a dual array digital microphone, a webcam with FHD Hybrid BSI sensor, two USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 ports, one USB port for HP Sleep and Charge, and one headphone-out /microphone-in combo jack.

HP Spectre x360 laptop

It has a four-cell Li-ion polymer battery and an HP privacy camera kill switch which automatically turns off the camera when it is not in use. The HP Spectre x360 runs Windows 10 Pro and comes with a 12-month free subscription of McAfee LiveSafe. The laptop features HP Audio Switch, HP ePrint and Dropbox. The device is compatible with Miracast and features Intel Wireless-AC 9560 802.11b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5. The device comes in two shades – Poseidon Blue and Dark Ash Gray.

HP Spectre Folio and HP Spectre x360: price and availability

The HP Spectre Folio has been launched at a price of Rs 1,99,990 while the HP Spectre x360 costs Rs 1,29,990 for the grey coloured variant and Rs 1,39,990 for the blue one.
