The first tech expo of 2019 has already begun. CES is one of the biggest shows where brands showcase their latest tech innovations. A lot of new laptops have already been unveiled at this year’s show by HP, Acer, and ASUS. American IT company HP has made a bunch of announcements which includes notebooks and a gaming laptop. Let’s take a look below:
HP Spectre x360 15:
The HP Spectre x360 15 is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop launched in 2018. Now HP is planning to release a revamped version of the device with an AMOLED display. The x360 15 is touted as the world’s first laptop with an OLED screen on a 15-inch laptop. It is also said to come with HDR support. The AMOLED panel will offer bright and crisp output, deeper blacks, and accurate colours.
The revamped model will retain the design and hardware of the current HP Spectre x360 15. The device will be equipped with latest 8th Gen Intel processors paired with discrete Nvidia graphics and 16GB RAM.
HP expects to ship the Spectre x360 15 with an AMOLED display in March. The company says that it will announce the exact specifications and pricing close to the launch date.
HP Omen 15:
HP also refreshed its gaming laptop, the Omen 15. The new models will be powered by Intel’s 8th Gen i7-8750H processor paired with up to 16GB RAM. It will also be equipped with a yet-to-be-announced Nvidia GPU. The Omen 15 will come with a storage combination of 128GB SSD and 1TB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive.
The laptop will feature a 15.6-inch display bearing a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and running at 144Hz refresh rate. HP has also promised a fast display model with 240Hz refresh rate which ensures smooth graphics.
The refreshed Omen 15 is expected to launch in February with prices starting at $1,370. The optional 240Hz model is expected to launch later in July.
