Due to lackluster sales, HTC has been launching fewer phones in the market over the past few years. In June, HTC announced the HTC U20 5G as its ever 5G-enabled smartphone in Taiwan. Alongside it, the Desire 20 Pro phone was also made official. Today, the company discreetly unveiled the Desire 20 Plus with more powerful specs than the Pro model.
The Desire 20 Plus sports a textured rear and it comes with a distinctively arranged rear cameras. The device has a tall aspect ratio, a powerful mid-range chipset, 48-megapixel quad-cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery.
HTC Desire 20+ specifications and features
The HTC Desire 20+ has a 6.5-inch LCD display with a waterdrop notch. has a 20:9 aspect ratio screen that produces 720 x 1,600 pixels HD+ resolution. The display notch has a 16-megapixel selfie camera that offers features like auto HDR, beauty mode and 1080p video recording.
The camera module placed on the rear of the HTC Desire 20+ includes a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 119-degree 5-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 5-megapixel macro shooter with a focal length up to 40cm, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Desire 20+ offers photography features such as auto HDR, AI scene recognition, portrait mode, night scene mode, professional mode, time-lapse photography, slow-motion video recording, and 4K video shooting.
The Snapdragon 720G SoC fuels the Desire 20+ Pro. It is available in a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. Its 5,000mAh battery is coupled with Quick Charge 4.0 fast charge technology. The other features that are added in the Desire 20+ include Android 10, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-F 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
HTC Desire 20+ pricing and availability
The HTC Desire 20+ has arrived in Taiwan with TWD 8,490 (~Rs 21,700) price tag and colour options such as Dawn Orange and Twilight Black. It is not clear whether the Taiwanese brand will release this phone in India.
