HTC has quietly announced the Wildfire E Lite in markets like Russia and South Africa. The moniker indicates that it is a toned-down version of the older HTC Wildfire E1 that debuted back in December 2019.
The Wildfire E1 Lite is an entry-level smartphone packed with modest specs. In terms of design, the handset offers an 18:9 display with thick top and bottom bezels. The plastic rear of the phone features a horizontal dual camera setup alongside an LED flash. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear of the device.

The Wildfire E1 Lite has a 5.45-inch compact display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The device has a thickness of 8.9mm and it weighs only 160 grams.
The MediaTek Helio A20 chipset is at the helm of the Wildfire E1 Lite with 2GB of RAM. The phone ships with 16GB of native storage. A microSD card slot is available on the device for storage expansion.
Placed on the front is a 5-megapixel selfie camera that offers features like auto HDR, AI face unlock, capture photos while shooting videos, and 720p video recording. The rear-facing camera module has an 8-megapixel primary camera and a 0.3-megapixel VGA lens. The rear cameras support auto HDR, capturing images while video recording, panorama mode, and 1080p video shooting.
The Wildfire E1 Lite runs Android 10 (Go edition). It has a 3,000mAh battery that supports only 5W charging. The connectivity features offered by the device include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
HTC Wildfire E1 Lite price and availability
The Wildfire E1 Lite has arrived in Russia with a price tag of RUB 7,790 (~Rs 7,700) and in South Africa for ZAR 1,549 (~Rs 7,600). It comes in only a black colour. There is no word on whether the Taiwanese company will be launching the Wildfire E1 Lite in India.
