HTC’s smartphone business has been plummeting, but the brand is still releasing the occassional new product. Last year, it brought back the Wildfire series by launching the Wildfire X. This company followed with the HTC Wildfire R70 in February, and the HTC U20 as its first 5G phone in June. Now, HTC has introduced a new entry-level phone called the HTC Wildfire E2 in Russia.

HTC Wildfire E2 debuts with 6.5-inch display
The HTC Wildfire E2 has a plastic rear with textured design. The 6.5-inch S-IPS LCD display offers 720 x 1560 pixels HD+ resolution and a 276ppi pixel density. The MediaTek Helio P22 chipset is at the helm of the device. The SoC is coupled with 4GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 64GB and comes with a hybrid SIM slot for adding a microSD card.
There is a 4,000mAh battery inside the HTC Wildfire E2. The device lacks support for fast charging. For shooting selfies, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The LED flash enabled dual camera setup comprises a 16-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. A fingerprint sensor can be found on the rear panel of the phone.
The HTC Wildfire E2 runs Android 10. The connectivity features available on the Wildfire E2 include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The HTC Wildfire E2 is priced at RUB 9,990 (~Rs 10,200) in Russia. The device comes in blue and black colours. HTC is yet to confirm if phone will be sold in other markets.
