Amazfit GTR smartwatch with 24-day battery life to launch in India soon

Huami is all set to launch its latest smartwatch, the Amazfit GTR in India soon. Notably, the same smartwatch has already been launched in China last month. Huami has now revealed that the watch will be launched exclusively on Flipkart soon, but has not revealed the launch date as of now. For the uninitiated, the Huami Amazfit GTR flaunts 24-day battery life, 5ATM water-resistance rating, air pressure sensor and more.

The Huami Amazfit GTR offers up to 24 days of battery backup

In China, the Amazfit GTR was launched in two variants – 42mm and 47mm. However, in India, only the latter will be made available in titanium, stainless steel and aluminum alloy finishes. The smartwatch sports a 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display with 454 x 454 pixels screen resolution. The display is protected against scratches and bumps thanks to a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. On the topic of durability, the smartwatch also flaunts 5ATM water resistance, which means it can survive in up to 50 metres of water. Powering the smartwatch is a 410mAh Li-polymer battery, which is slated to last up to 24 days with normal use and up to 74 days in basic watch mode.

Coming to the features, the Huami Amazfit GTR has tons of connectivity options including Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS + GLONASS, and more. The smartwatch is cross compatible with Android 5.0 Lollipop or above and iOS 10 and above. The brand  mentions that the Amazfit GTR can track 12 activities including indoor running, outdoor running, walking, outdoor riding, indoor riding, open water swimming, swimming in the pool, elliptical machine, mountaineering, trail running and work out. The smartwatch also features an air pressure sensor, BioTracker PPG for 24-hour uninterrupted accurate heart rate monitoring, and a sedentary reminder. On the sensor front, the Amazfit GTR has a capacitive sensor, ambient light brightness sensor, 3 Axial geomagnetic sensor and six-axis accelerometer.

As of now, Huami has not revealed the Indian pricing of the upcoming smartwatch. However, in China, the watch is priced at RMB 999 (~Rs 9,900).
