On: August 12, 2019

Huawei has announced the latest version of EMUI based on Android Q. This comes just after the Chinese manufacturer introduced HarmonyOS, its proprietary operating system, to the world. The newest version of EMUI 10 will sport an upgraded interface, dark mode and improved performance among the other things. EMUI 10 will offer rounded icons and brand new animations, while its dark mode will also be applied to third-party apps.

New Always-On display options and additional clock and calendar styles are also part of the package. Working in collaboration with GPU Turbo 3.0 and an improved EROFS file system, EMUI 10 is expected to provide faster performance. A new form of linking phones with PCs called Multi-screen collaboration has also been shown by the company. Using this option, users can mirror their phone directly on their computer screen and wirelessly connect the two gadgets.

Additionally, Huawei HiCar pairs a smartphone with the vehicle’s system to control music, navigation, AC etc. The upcoming Huawei Mate 30 will be the first device to sport EMUI 10 based on Android Q. The Huawei P30 smartphone will receive the upgrade starting September 8th as well.
