In October, Huawei had launched the Kirin 710 chipset-powered Enjoy 9 Plus smartphone. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has announced the lower-specced Enjoy 9 in its home market. Like the Plus variant, the Enjoy 9 also features a waterdrop notch screen and a 4,000mAh battery.
Huawei Enjoy 9 Specifications and Features
The Huawei Enjoy 9 measures 158.92 x 76.91 x 8.1mm and it weighs 168 grams. It has a smaller notch on compared to the Enjoy 9 Plus. The handset is equipped with a 6.26-inch IPS LCD screen that delivers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 19:9.
A 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset is present under the hood of the smartphone. The Enjoy 9 comes in two models – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The smartphone is equipped with a microSD card slot that supports expansion up to 512 GB. The 4,000mAh battery mentioned earlier lacks fast charging support.
As for software, it runs EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. There is no fingerprint scanner on the Huawei Enjoy 9, however it offers face unlock. The front notch is the home for the 8-megapixel f/2.0 aperture selfie shooter. A vertical dual camera setup followed by an LED flash is available on the rear of the Enjoy 9. It includes an f/1.8 aperture 13-megapixel primary sensor and an f/2.4 aperture 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Huawei Enjoy 9 Pricing and Release Date
Huawei is yet to confirm the price tag of the Enjoy 9. Its official sales will begin from December 12th in China. The handset will be available in Black and three gradient colors such as Blue, Red and Purple. It is speculated that the 32GB and 64GB editions of the Huawei Enjoy 9 will be available in China for 1,199 Yuan (~Rs 12,550) and 1,499 Yuan (Rs 18,000) respectively.
